Born in Washington DC  and currently living and painting in the city and in Truro, Ma.

I attended Simon's Rock of Bard College (1966-69) and the University of Pennsylvania (1969-71) and studied at
California College of Arts and Crafts and San Francisco Academy of Art University (1987, 1990)

My work is  primarily drawn from nature  - from memory as well as on sight . I paint with oil on canvas and on wood panels - on paper with graphite , gouache and ink .  The current series are about trees, woods , marshes and water. 

The work  has been exhibited in numerous galleries in Washington DC, New York City, Provincetown, Ma,  San Francisco, Ca. Charleston, SC.,   as well as in many locations around the world through the Art-in-the- Embassies Program. Several paintings are in the collections of  individuals and institutions including the Washington Post, World Bank, Marriott Corp and Cheekwood Fine Arts Center, Nashville, Tenn.
